Environment and Media Campaign

Students participating in Voices of the River clean up and discovery

Urban Media Arts (UMA) is excited to launch the Environment and Media Campaign, an invitation to the community to create, curate, and share media, art, or information related to our natural environment and the efforts to treasure and care for it.

By offering networking sessions, information sessions, support to create media, and organized opportunities to share projects, UMA will be a catalyst for an emerging network of those working to heal and appreciate our environment in various ways. In addition, UMA will invite anyone interested to help design ways to amplify the good work happening and to curate the information, media, art, and ideas in such a way as to creatively capture Malden’s “green” forward motion.

There are many ways to engage with this campaign: share ideas, attend an event, subscribe to our mailing list, add resources to our padlet, and share photos on or emerging map of nature pockets (just below).

If you prefer to share your thoughts with a person rather than form below, feel free to call (781-480-3214) or email Ose Schwab (ose@umaverse.org). We will respond to your input over the course of January and into February

UMA is hosting a series of nature walks. We will add these places to this map – as well as other places you might recommend to mark as places of nature.
