Learning to Unlearn: Addressing Systemic Racism

Malden community members are invited to take part in an intensive self-reflective anti-racism workshop. As a companion book to the main Malden Reads book selection Born A Crime, workshop participants will read the bestselling book Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor by Layla F. Saad. This 4-part workshop will be led by Bwann Kellie Gwann, Assistant Director of the Urban Scholars Initiative at Lesley University. The workshop will meet March 11, 25 and April 15, 29 and involve a combination of lecture, large group and small group discussion. Registration will be available 2/8/2021.
