“To Err,” an award-winning short-film recorded at UMA available on DUST

Malden resident and cinematographer Tony Martinez, of Secondhouse Films, reports that the short-film “To Err,” recorded in UMA’s Studio A, premiered on DUST, one of the largest channels to promote works of science fiction on the internet today. Martinez helped produce this short-film. He also served as editor, cinematographer, and liaison with Urban Media Arts.

This good news comes after an already successful start for the film and its production crew. “To Err” premiered in 2021 and has been screened at various film festivals around the world, winning multiple awards.

When Kiara, an AI satellite, is sent to observe a black hole, she forms a friendship with Noelle back on Earth. Despite the growing distance, the two sprout an unlikely dialogue that examines humanity’s greatest question.
