COMEDY EVENT with Maya May

Maya May is a writer and stand-up comedian who uses humor to navigate the awkwardness of growing up a black nerd and only child in suburban Chicago. She will bring her brand of smart, funny and socially conscious humor to the virtual stage for our Malden Reads audience. In addition to performing stand-up, Maya will share her journey of becoming a comedian and relate to the themes of this year’s book selection, Born a Crime by Trevor Noah.
