Making the Cut: A Filmmaking Master Class

March 23 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

Making the Cut Master Class

a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a horror film

Register

In this master class, award-winning filmmakers Anthony Martinez, Anders Johnson, and Jamie Elliott share how they were able to plan and produce “E.P. 313”, a horror film that takes place in the basement of a community media station, on a shoestring.

Directors, filmmakers, producers, actors, and film enthusiasts will appreciate this behind the scenes look at the pre and post production process. The workshop includes the screening of two films, several breakout sessions, and an interactive discussion with the crew.

This master class takes place in the middle of downtown Malden, an up-and-coming Gateway City accessible from Boston that boasts a hot food scene, gaming district, a burgeoning arts community, murals along the bike path and in the city, and an international community feel. The master class takes place steps away from the site of filming. Attendees can take an optional tour as a pre session to the master class. Large session offers an immersive large screen experience of the final film and previous short film “To Err”. Break out rooms held in the beautiful atrium and cozy library.

Cost – $25. UMA Members receive discount.  email ose@umaverse.org for promotional code.
