Summer Festivals 2021: Artist Reception

According to art teacher and artist Kristina Kisthart, there are many talented emerging artists at the Salemwood school. Over this summer, Kristina, or Miss Kay as she is called by her students, has gathered some of her student artists to create an exhibition of their artwork, which will hang at Gallery UMA until October.

This reception will offer the community, teachers, other artists and youth a chance to meet the artists, hear about what inspires them, and by such a meeting create more opportunities and connections for young aspiring artists in Malden. The reception will be informal, with mingling and a gathering time to let the public ask questions. Beverages provided.

The exhibit, entitled “This is Salemwood” offers another lense to Salemwood, offered through the perspective and talent of fifth to 8th grade artists.

This reception is part of the Summer Festivals 2021 roster of activities happening August 7, from 11:30am to 7pm in Malden Center.
