We are delighted to invite the public to experience the colorful artwork of Grace Julian Murthy at the Gallery@57 APRIL 7, 2024 – JUNE 4, 2024 and on May 3, 6 to 8pm for an artist reception.
This exhibition offers a delightful array of artwork that explores the nature of art, color and the ordinary. The work is for sale. Grace has selected Urban Media Arts (UMA) to receive a portion of proceeds from this show. This gesture to UMA is typical of Grace’s generous spirit. Since 2016, Grace has helped build an artist community that offers opportunities of various kinds to artists of all ages and continues to bring her art, energy, and joy to the Malden community. 
About Grace Julian Murthy
“Grace Julian Murthy has a BFA and MA degree in Graphic Design. She grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts and moved to Malden with her husband. She has called Malden home for almost two decades and is the youngest of ten children. Her parents and siblings are from the beautiful Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago, where they acquired their love of florals. Her work is influenced by pop art, nature and everyday objects. She draws inspiration from comics and uses outlines in all of her work. Her art is a journey of happiness that uses a visual language of humor, nostalgia, color, shape and everyday objects to illustrate that you can find joy in the simple things in life. She believes that art exists all around us and all it takes to be appreciated is a closer look.”
