MATV/UMA is announcing that there is an upcoming election for a Membership seat available on our Board of Directors. That seat is currently held by Sergui Parfeni. This is an exciting opportunity for a current member to help shape the future of MATV as it finally transitions to Urban Media Arts (UMA) this fall and winter. Submit interest by September 9, 2020.

Who is eligible?

Any current member – who was up to date with dues as of February 2020 – before the pandemic disrupted access to MATV services and facility. Exceptions for past members who did not renew membership will be made.

What this entails?

Be part of the Board of Directors for a three-year term as of October 2020. As part of the Board of Directors, you will participate in monthly meetings held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. You may also be a part of one of the subcommittees.

Our board is currently made up of 9 members, 6 of whom are appointed by the board members and 3 who are elected by the members of MATV/UMA. The main roles of our non-profit Board are to establish policy, determine our mission and oversee the financial stability of our media center.

What to do if interested?

If you are interested in running, please submit a short paragraph explaining your intention and reasons for running for the position by email to the nomination committee to matv- board@googlegroups.com by September 9, 2020. Ballots will be sent to all members who will be invited to cast their votes through email at an address to be announced soon.
