Map designed by Caitlin Lu
Thanks to the generous hospitality of St. Paul’s Parish, the Episcopal Church in Malden (26 Washington St., Malden), an area along St. Paul’s lawn will be available for fun, creative activities for kids, families, and youth during the August 7 Summer Festivals 2021 (Kidzone). The Kidzone activities begin 12pm and end at 5pm.
Kids' Zone Activities
12:00-4:00 pm | All ages
Karyn Alzayer lends her public art project, inaugurated in 2018 at an Arts Matters Day in Malden, inviting residents to choose a colorful strip of fabric, make a wish, write their wish on the fabric, dip their fabric strip in the magical wishing well, and tie it on the giant bug catcher net (redesigned to be a catcher of dreams) along with other residents’ dreams for their city.
12:00-4:00pm | Early readers to grade 6
Leave a book, take a book--or two! Need something to read for the rest of the summer? Select a gently used book or two and leave one you're finished with for someone else. Choose from picture books to early readers to chapter books! Books will be available until we run out or at 4pm. Geared toward early readers (picture books) to chapter books for up to grade 6 (4 years to 12 years old). Special thanks to Lisa L. Sears for coordinating and Malden Public Library for donating books.
