Getting Started At UMA
Again, welcome. We are so happy to provide support as you work on the areas and projects of interest. Here is how to get started to be able to use our facility and equipment.
Important information to note first:
- This membership entitles you to access to the facility and equipment for projects that can be shared with the broader community. The membership is not intended for commercial use, though of course some eduational productions can be part of an overall commercial campaign.
- Though we are delighted if you have a projects you would like to spearhead and carry out, we also understand that you may simply wish to gain skills and possibly help work on other existing projects.
- We request to be able to share your production on our local cable channels and Youtube.
- If you are working on commercial projects (like advertising etc) please let us know and we will discuss options.
- We are available to assist, especially in the first stages of your project/production, but then we encourage you to fly on your own – with our support as needed.
- Share with us what you want to do and learn at UMA by filling out the new member form below.
- UMA will respond to your form within two business days to schedule a training session in use of our reservation system and the relevant equipment you will need to fulfill your interests and learning goals.
- Once you have been trained, you can start reserving equipment and studio time. We wiill show you how to reserve space and equipment as well as how to use our prodution feature that can hel pyou track your progress.

New Member Interest Form
Reserving Equipment and Studio Space
We use a facility, equipment and workshop reservation system called Rueshare. If you are a new member, you will receive notice of an account to “Rueshare,” after you sign up for membership. If you have been a member and have an account, that information will be updated as you renew or change your UMA membership subscription.
Before using equipment or our facility, you will need to create a prodution form. You can discuss this with an UMA staff member during your first training session.
Tracking Your Membership Payments & Donations
Sponsor/Member Payments Dashboard: You can track or change your payment info for membership subscriptions. You can also cancel your subscription or renew from the donor (member payment) dashboard. To access this dashboard, you may need to verify your email as a way to view it. You will NOT need to create an account. If you have questions about changing your payment information, feel free to email membership@umaverse.org.
